Located within the beautiful Troodos Mountains, the Cyprus Ski Federation & Club, was established in the 1940's by local Cypriots and British Nationals. There are two main areas dedicated to skiing between late December and March. The first is Sun Valley, where visitors have the use of either the 150m Aphrodite lift or the 150m Hermes lift, both of which are suitable for beginners. The remaining area of North Face has two further lifts, the 350m Hera suitable for intermediate skiers, and the 500m Zeus suitable for advanced skiers. Those visitors staying in the lower lying resorts require a 4x4 hire vehicle to ensure a safe journey, and my be refused entry into the mountains without one in the interests of your safety.
