The Troodos Mountains
The Troodos mountains are the largest mountain range in Cyprus, and home to the impressive Mount Olympus which stands over 6,400 feet above sea level. This most picturesque of landscapes provides holidaymakers. Located in the west of the island, there are a number of churches and monastery's dating back to the byzantine period. For much of the year the Troodos Mountains provide a lush green countryside through which visitors can enjoy a peaceful and enchanting trails such as that which leads to the stunning Caledonia Falls. From mid December through March however the mountains offers holidaymakers an opportunity to do something a little different.....Ski. With four lifts, ski schools and the usual bars and restaurants, skiers of all abilities are catered for.
