Located on the side of a picturesque hillside north east of the areas main town of Kyrenia, Bellapais Monastery will appeal to those holiday makers who appreciate historical sites and architecture. Dating back to around the 12th century, the monastery was originally occupied by a french brotherhood. Today, visitors to the monastery can take a trip back in time and appreciate the many wonders that this site provides. Although there is no specific bus service to this area of Northern Cyprus, visitors are more than welcome arriving by taxi or hire car.
